Does the boot ROM perform CRC checking when loading the code from the SPI or SCI port?
The Boot ROM does not perform any checks on incoming flash resident code. The SCI port bootloader does however echo back each character sent after the baud rate lock. So the host can find out if any characters are lost during the transmission. With the SPI Boot-load signal integrity is assumed, no checks are attempted at all.
