These low power TMS320C55x DSPs provide performance up to 150MHz, with high integration to ease system level development. Here are the main features of this chipset:
– Industry's lowest power 16-bit DSPs with extensive peripheral set and a small footprint.
– Many advanced features such as: FFT hardware accelerator (HWA), integrated LCD controller, high-speed USB2.0 interface.
– FFT HWA is upto 6 times more energy efficient as compared to the already optimized CPU.
The C5515/14 bring the following integrated power management features on top of the C5505/04 to further maximize and efficiently manage battery life for portable devices.:
– On-chip LDOs (low-dropout regulators)
– Dynamic voltage and frequency scaling
The C5515/14 devices can perform upto speeds of 120MHz wheras the C5505/04 devices are available upto 150MHz. You can find more details about the devices and their main differentiating features under 'Device Features and Overview'.
eZDSP C5515 USB Stick Development Tool TI Product page/Order : The TMDX5515EZDSP is a small form factor, very low cost USB-powered DSP development tool which includes all the hardware and software needed to evaluate the industry's lowest power 16-bit DSP: TMS320C5515, TMS320C5515 as well as TMS320C5504 and TMS320C5505 as a sub-set. The eZDSP C5505 USB Stick Development Tool (TMDX5505eZDSP) can be used to evaluate the TMS320VC5504 and TMS320VC5505.
