Interfacing the CC3000 EM module to the MSP-EXP430FG4618

Overview

The CC3000 EM module has been designed with connectors that mate to the Texas Instruments EM interface provided on the MSP-EXP430FG4618.

Supported Applications

The CC3000 + MSP-EXP430FG4618 is supported by the following application:



User Interface

There is a green LED (LED1) used to indicate successful connection to an access point (AP connect). There is a red LED (LED3) used to indicate power on this board

Power Supply

The CC3000 is powered via the battery interface on the MSP-EXP430F5438 and can be powered by the BAT jumper in the lower right hand corner of the board.

Configuring the HyperTerminal

General Notes

The HyperTerminal is the interface through which commands are sent to the CC3000 basic Wi-Fi example application. The HyperTerminal connects to the MSP-EXP430FG4618 board, using the serial port connector as shown in the figure above.
