Overview
The CCSv5 Advanced Workshop is a half-day workshop for more experienced users who are familiar with the basics of CCSv5.1 (such as the content covered in the CCSv5 Fundamentals Workshop and wish to have a deeper understanding on how to use some of the more advanced functionality. Some of the topics covered:
- Advanced Target configuration
- Creating portable projects (sharing projects across team members)
- Installing plug-ins
- Advanced editor features
- Debugger options
- Debug Server Scripting
- Scripting Console
- Linux Kernel Debug
- Linux Application Debug
Running The Labs
To run the labs, you will need the following:
- The AM3517 Experimenter Board available from Logic PD.
- The latest image of Code Composer Studio 5.1.x [1]. You will need a my.TI account to download this file. All the Sitara components must be installed.
- XDS100v2 emulator

- Extract the contents of this zip into the root location of the system drive. After the extraction, there should be a folder 'C:\TI'
Note that to do the last lab of the workshop (Linux Kernel and Linux Aware Debug), an SD card with a Linux Kernel and file system must be created. See the AM3517 On-line Workshop for more information on how to create the SD card.
