C5000 Overview

The TMS320C5000™ DSP platform provides a broad portfolio of the industry's lowest power 16-bit DSPs and performance up to 300MHz (600 MIPs). The following benefits have made the C5000 processor a very popular choice for a variety of power- and cost-efficient embedded signal processing solutions, including portable devices in audio, voice, communications, medical, security and industrial applications.

Ultra low power consumption with standby power as low as 0.15mW and active power* less than 0.15mW/MHz extends battery life

– High peripheral integration and large on-chip memory helps reduce overall system cost.

– Low cost development boards, system development kits, free and highly mature software libraries with an extensive database of code examples enables fast time to market.

– Performance up to 300MHz brings sophisticated digital signal processing capability to portable devices enabling cutting-edge innovations.

C5000 Devices

TMS320C5000™ DSP platform provides more than 30 devices of the industry's lowest power 16-bit DSPs with performance up to 300MHz (600 MIPs). Active power (75% dual-MAC and 25% add) of <0.15mW/MHz and standby power of <0.15mW, helps extend battery life. High peripheral integration and large on-chip memory reduces the overall system cost. The C5000 devices are a perfect fit for a variety of low power and cost-efficient embedded signal processing solutions, including portable devices in audio, voice, medical and biometric applications. With our present and future devices, we plan to extend our ultra low power and value leadership to higher performance.
