DM355 Getting Started Guide

The purpose of this Getting Started Guide (GSG) is to walk you through setting up a development system for the DM355. You should proceed through this guide in the order given for best results. By the end of this Getting Started Guide you will have the DM355 DVEVM hardware setup, a Linux host development environment configured, and a Linux target booting to run some provided demonstration software. You should also bookmark the DM355 category since new articles will continue to appear here.

Hardware Setup

Software Setup

The Software Setup page covers how to install the Linux tools, (DV)SDK software, and Linux Product Support Package for the DM355 DVEVM.

The latest DVSDK release can be downloaded from here.

Note: For Monta Vista Linux 5 based DVSDKs (i.e. DVSDK 2.00) see the Getting Started Guide included in the software package for a Red Hat Enterprise v4 based install, or for an alternative set of installation steps for a Ubuntu 9.04 (or similar) distribution please see GSG: DVSDK 2.0 Software Setup in Ubuntu.
