Welcome!

Your new OMAP-L138 EVM Development Kit is a low-cost development platform designed to speed the development of high-precision applications based on TI's OMAP-L13x applications processors.

NOTE: OMAP-L138/C6748 parts are supported by two distinct kits:

To receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for an OMAP-L138/C6748 board, users should refer to Logic's RMA web site.

This Getting Started Guide focuses on the EVM Development kit. Users of the eXperimenter Kit users need to be aware that some information may not apply.

What's in this Kit?

The OMAP-L138/C6748 Development Kit includes:

What's on the EVM Board?

The OMAP-L138/C6748 EVM board is actually a baseboard into which a number of daughter cards can be plugged to provide it with the desired functionality. See the Logic's Quick Start Guide that comes with the kit for more details on these boards. A summary is given below.

In addition to the providing a host for daughter cards, the baseboard provides the following:

Each baseboard will be populated with either an OMAP-L138 or C6748 System on Module (SOM) daughter card. The SOM provides a flexible way for a single baseboard to host a variety of processor configurations. In addition to the OMAP-L138 or C6748 chip, the SOM cards also include:

A UI card is included with the Development kit and enables additional peripherals, including:
