Known Issues in OMAP-L137 Documentation

For getting started information on the OMAP-L137 you should refer to the Getting Started Guide for OMAP-L137 page rather than the documentation in the SDK package.

File <OMAPL137_C674x_1_00_00_07_release_notes.pdf>:

• It contains dead links to certain documents. Once you install the setup file that corresponds to your device / system, the links on the file <OMAPL137_C674x_1_00_00_07_release_notes.html> will work.
• Typo in the filename <mvl_5_0_0_demo_sys_setuplinux.bin>. For this Beta release the correct filename is <mvl_5_0_0801921_demo_sys_setuplinux.bin> but may change without previous notice for the upcoming releases.
• Typo in the filename <mvl_5_0_0_demo_target_setuplinux.bin>. For this Beta release the correct filename is <mvl_5_0_demo_target_setuplinux.bin>. As mentioned above, this file is only available in the companion CD.
• Contains references to the inexisting file <BIOSPSP_01_20_00_07_Setup.exe>. This happens in two sections of this file.

File <LSP_02.20_OMAP-L137_User_Guide.pdf>:

• Typo in the filename <mvl_5_0_0_demo_sys_setuplinux.bin> in Section 3.3.1. For this Beta release the correct filename is <mvl_5_0_0801921_demo_sys_setuplinux.bin> but may change without previous notice for the upcoming releases.
• Same thing in the filenames on items 3) and 5). Where it reads <mvltools5.0.0-no-target.tar.gz> it should read <mvltools5.0-no-target.tar.gz>. Where it reads <mvl5.0.0-target_path.tar.gz> it should read <mvl5.0-target_path.tar.gz>.
• Typo in the filename <mvl_5_0_0_demo_target_setuplinux.bin> in sections 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3.1 item 2). For this Beta release the correct filename is <mvl_5_0_demo_target_setuplinux.bin>. As mentioned before, this file is only available in the companion CD.
• In Section 4.2, item 1 should explicitly show the Linux Kernel directory for clarity:
  • Typically located at: <lsp_install_dir>/montavista/pro/devkit/lsp/ti-davinci_evm-arm_v5t_le/linux-2.6.18_pro500/
• Section 5.4.1 contains extra quotes on the setenv boot commands
• Section 5.4.2 item 4 contains extra quotes on the setenv U-boot commands

File <codec_engine_2_22/examples/build_instructions.html>:

• In section Running the pre-built video_copy example application... does not contain the pre-built sanity_test files for OMAPL137
