Differences between MSP430F425 and MSP430F425A devices
The F425 and F425A are by products of the FE425. FE425A does not have the ESP430 engine. There are some significant differences in the ESP430 versions for these parts. However, when it comes to the non-ESP parts the difference between the F425A and F425 is parts is that, the SD16 has been improved such that the earlier bugs are fixed for the F425A device. The errata document gives the description for these bugs. In addition, it is recommended not to use the F425 parts for new designs.
