The MSP430's USART in UART mode setup is described in chapter 13 of the MSP430F1xx User's Guide. In this chapter, formulas are given to calculate the USART registers for proper baud-rate generation. This is a compilation of the Table 15 on pages 15-22 and 15-23 with the most common Baud rates.
